Hidden Creatives

The Hidden Creatives project was created to amplify the creatives working in and around the Blackhorse Collective and to provide a platform to help accelerate their growth. Andy Donohoe, a project photographer, was brought in to explore all corners of the zone and find individuals that demonstrated the broad mix of practices and technical backgrounds present. Once located, we asked each of the creatives several questions about their trade and the importance of where they work.

These individuals had their portraits taken and their experiences recorded. The images have been printed in large format and have been exhibited throughout the CEZ in public places. These portraits can be found in five different locations which include:

  • Inside Blackhorse Road Station in a poster frame
  • Three are opposite the station on the hoardings around the Old Standard
  • Two on the walls of Big Penny Social on Priestly Way
  • One on the old Exotic Veneers building in Uplands Business Park and
  • One on Hackney Brewery on Lockwood Estate.
